Juancarlos earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he competed in the National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition and volunteered at community immigration events. As part of his volunteer efforts, Juancarlos conducted “Know Your Rights” workshops and supported attorneys in providing substantive guidance to individuals facing immigration challenges.
Before law school, Juancarlos graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Psychology. During his undergraduate years, he co-founded and served as the financial director of the Youth Uprise Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating leadership opportunities for low-income youth through community outreach and social media initiatives. Under his leadership, the organization grew a following of more than 60,000 in just one year.
Beyond his academic and legal achievements, Juancarlos brings years of leadership and entrepreneurial experience to his work. Starting at the age of 15, he became media director for a local church, guiding a production team that delivered live events for audiences of up to 1,000 attendees, often collaborating with nationally recognized artists. His entrepreneurial ventures have been equally diverse, ranging from real estate and drone videography to successfully managing a furniture-flipping business that scaled to hundreds of successful sales.
Juancarlos is most proud of being a role model for his younger brother, who once described him by saying, “One thing about JC is that he never gives up.” He brings that same determination to his work, striving to embody perseverance and dedication in his advocacy for the Firm’s clients.
